2GIG Technologies Back Up-Battery 2GIG BATTERY-GC3

Product Overview:

If you need a new backup battery for a 2GIG GC3, 2GIG SP1, or 2GIG GC3e, then the 2GIG BATTERY-GC3 is the solution for you. This battery will keep the system running in case the transformer is unplugged or if the electricity ever goes out. This is a lithium-polymer battery with 3.7V, 2500mAh of power.

When the system is running on AC power, the backup battery will be slowly storing power. This way, it will be ready as soon as a power outage occurs. The system will switch over to the battery backup and remain running. The backup battery will temporarily keep the system running until it drops below a certain voltage. The panel will then power down completely. The 2GIG BATTERY-GC3 can provide a 2GIG GC3, 2GIG SP1, or 2GIG GC3e with up to 24 hours of backup power.

Eventually, the backup battery will no longer be able to store a charge. This usually happens after about three to five years of use. You can tell a battery needs to be replaced when the device that's using it begins to display a low battery condition, even though there has been no power outage. This low battery condition may be constant, or it may be random. You also may notice that in the event of a power outage, a low battery condition comes up on the panel much sooner than expected.
