You can use this power supply with the DSC-WT5500 2-Way Wireless Keypad and the WT5500P and both keypads will stay powered on because of the supply. When you use just batteries alone in these keypads they go into what is called "sleep mode" to save battery life. In sleep mode system status as well as the door chime feature will not function. These power supplies make keypad "sleep mode" a thing of the past.
