PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The DSC PG9984P is a wireless PowerG 2-way dual-technology pet-immune motion detector using Target Specific Imaging™ to distinguish between human beings and pets weighing up to 40 kg (88 lb) that is designed for PowerG compatible security systems. The PG8844P has a PIR motion detector and microwave sensors that are able to distinguish human beings and pets using True Motion Recognition™ which reduces the number of false alarms.

The PG9984P motion detector combines an advanced PIR detection algorithm with K-band microwave detection to dramatically reduce false alarm events even in harsh installations.

The detector sends an alarm signal after both the PIR and the microwave sensors have detected an intruder, significantly reducing false alarms. Uniquely designed to continuously adjust its sensitivity according to the location temperature, the dual technology motion detector is able to detect an intruder even when the ambient temperature is close to that one of the human body.

When choosing your installation spot do not obscure the detector field of view with large objects, such as furniture. Install in position such that expected intruder motion is perpendicular to the zones of detection. Mount further than 5 feet from fluorescent light fixture employing two fluorescent tubes minimum rated 40 W. The PG9984P is immune to activity below 1 m (3ft) from 40 kg (88 lb) animals. Above the 1 m (3 ft) height limit, the detector is immune to 19 kg (42 lb) animals. Pet immunity decreases as the animal gets closer to the detector.
