When I was a Crutchfield Advisor, one of the most common questions I got was, "How do I get music in multiple areas of my home?" One solution is to connect your music sources to a multi-channel power amplifier like the D1290. Russound is one of the brands I recommended to customers, based on their versatility and reliability.
This 12-channel amp can power stereo speaker pairs in up to six different listening zones. Channel pairs can be bridged to create a single larger channel — great for power-hungry speakers.
Flexible connections
The amp has an independent stereo pair of analog RCA inputs for each zone. That's perfect if you'd like to listen to something different in each room. Two stereo RCA bus inputs let you feed connected sources to one, some, or all of the zones. Selecting which zones get which source is as easy as flicking the input switch on each zone.
Compact and rack-mountable
The newer, slimmer design of the Russound D-series amps makes it easier than ever to fit in an extra power amp. Set it on a shelf, in an entertainment center, or a component rack. The D1290 fits in a 1U space, and rack ears are included.
